After a long wait, Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed that the first all-electric Range Rover launches in the second half of 2026. Early prototypes point to a 118kWh battery delivering roughly 300 miles of range and a dual-motor setup producing around 542 horsepower, comfortably ahead of the most powerful plug-in hybrid in the current line-up.
Visually, JLR has kept things deliberately familiar: aside from subtle aerodynamic tweaks, the electric model looks almost indistinguishable from the petrol and diesel Range Rovers on the road today. The guiding idea, in the company's own words, is 'Range Rover first, electric second.'
It won't be alone for long. A Range Rover Sport Electric is lined up to follow, along with a striking, more coupe-like electric model expected to replace the Velar. For anyone who loves the marque, it's shaping up to be the most significant chapter in years.
We follow these launches closely and add the standout models to our fleet as they become available, keep an eye on this page.
